I'm not switching to iTunes movie rentals either, even though I already have an AppleTV.

See my nomination of iTunes video rentals to the 2007 User>Driven Hall of Shame for details, but it essentially boils down to timing. Why make me watch it within 24 hours? Why, Steve, why?! I'm too old to stay up that late! Aren't you even older?

I would say that this MacWorld keynote was evolutionary instead of revolutionary, so while it may have been more exciting than other non-keynote days, it still wasn't nearly as jaw-droppingly awesome as the iPhone keynote. I guess you can't have that ALL the time, but still, I think that's what people are noticing and commenting on.

I'll also have to disagree with you that iTunes movie rentals are going to put Netflix out of business. Netflix has a newer (and IMO better) business model. They're a movie entertainment SERVICE instead of a vehical for individual rental purchases. Besides being substantially cheaper than iTunes (and also now providing unlimited streaming content as well included in that price), their business model just fits better with the way I (and I'm guessing amny other people) want to consume entertainment. I know I won't be switching any time in the forseeable future.
